New Taking on Q4 2026 engagements

We build software that ships, scales and survives.

New Byte Order is an IT consultancy for teams that need real engineering muscle — web platforms, native iOS and Android apps, desktop software, and the quality assurance that stops Friday deploys turning into Saturday incidents.

What we do

Five disciplines, one delivery team

Most agencies hand you a platform and wish you luck. We stay through the awkward parts — the integrations, the load test, the App Store review, the handover.

Web platforms

Customer portals, internal tooling and APIs that hold up under real traffic and real auditors.

  • ASP.NET Core
  • React
  • Azure
  • APIs

iOS & Android

Native and cross-platform apps, shipped through review, monitored after launch.

  • Swift
  • Kotlin
  • MAUI
  • React Native

Desktop applications

Windows and macOS software for the work that a browser tab was never going to handle.

  • WPF
  • .NET MAUI
  • Electron
  • macOS

QA & test automation

Regression suites, load tests and release gates that catch things before your customers do.

  • Playwright

Native apps people actually keep installed

Swift and Kotlin where the platform demands it, .NET MAUI or React Native where a shared codebase earns its keep. We'll tell you honestly which one your product needs.

  • App Store and Play Store submission handled end to end, including the rejections
  • Offline-first sync, background jobs, push, biometrics and deep linking
  • Crash-free session monitoring wired in before launch, not after the first bad review
  • CI pipelines that produce signed builds on every merge
How it goes

A process with no mystery in it

You always know what's being built, what it costs, and what happens next.

01

Discovery

Two weeks, fixed price. We map the domain, interrogate the assumptions and come back with an architecture, a plan and a number you can take to your board. If the honest answer is 'don't build this', we say so.

02

Design & prototype

Clickable prototypes in front of real users before a line of production code exists. Design systems, not one-off screens, so the fifteenth feature looks like the first.

03

Build in the open

Two-week sprints, a shared board, a demo every fortnight and access to the repo from day one. Code review on every pull request, no exceptions and no hero merges.

04

Test relentlessly

Automated regression, load and accessibility testing running on every commit. Manual exploratory testing where the machines can't help. Bugs found by us, not your customers.

05

Ship & hand over

Blue-green deployments, monitoring, runbooks and documentation your own team can act on. We train your engineers to own it — or we stay on support. Your call, in writing.

Clients

What people say afterwards

They rewrote a platform we'd been told was unfixable, in the open, without a single unplanned outage. The first time a supplier has given me a delivery date and then met it.

PR Priya Raghavan CTO, Meridian Logistics

Our App Store rating went from 2.8 to 4.7 in one release cycle. What actually changed was the test automation — they found the crashes before our users did.

TB Tom Byrne Head of Product, Kestrel Health

We hired them for two engineers and kept them for eighteen months. Our own developers are demonstrably better for having worked alongside them.

AV Anneke de Vries Engineering Director, Northfold
Let's talk

Tell us what's broken. Or what's next.

A 30-minute call with an engineer, not a salesperson. You'll leave with a straight answer about feasibility, cost and timeline — whether or not you hire us.
